The anvil.

Hello,

Late last year, while we were having breakfast with our wives, Tom leaned in and asked "What do we have to do to do this kind of stuff for real?"

"We need to build inventory," was my response.

We spent the rest of the day hashing out the idea.  We would make stuff... out of other stuff.  We would take our DIY ethic to a grand scale.  We'd put a polish and sheen on our creations and give them a second life.  By the end of the night we had a plan, a huge todo-list, a ton of ideas, and we had a name.

Since then, as I'm sure anyone who's tried to start a business would agree, it's been a tremendous amount of work.  Papers to file, accounts to open, business cards, website, even more tools and a truck, oh and finding some time to actually build some stuff.  It continues to be a tremendous amount of work, and I don't expect that to change anytime soon.

Finally, I'd like to say that we have not been alone in this journey and a few people deserve to be recognized.  First and foremost, Chrissy and Adrea are a couple of extremely patient and supportive wifeys who graciously accept their stinky garage rat husbands.  The amount and quality of work that Chris K at Third Estate Design has done, including every last bit of graphic design you see here, cannot be overstated.  Truly excellent and professional.  Lastly, a big thanks to everyone on both ends of our supply chain.  To those of you requesting work, and those of you bringing us materials--especially Troy, who has an amazingly discerning eye for quality junk--thanks for making this happen.

So, browse around enjoy the site.  We'll be adding more features and more products regularly.  If you want to hear about the updates, check us out on facebook; I'll post there whenever something is updated.  Feel free to comment there or contact us if you want.
